when pasting text from another word doc the font changes - why?

I use word 2007. Whenever I paste text from another document, my font
changes. I use Bookman 12.5 and when I insert text is changes it to Garamond
- what's up?

Changes the text you're inserting, or changes the text of your
document?

What is the font in the document you're copying from?

What happens if you do Paste Special > Unformatted Text?
