When loading windows xp computer hangs

When loading windows xp my computer hangs at: registering
components approximately 9 minutes remaining. It always
hangs at the same point in the installation. Any help
would be appreciated.
 
Try running the Compatibility Advisor on the Windows XP CD BEFORE
installing. It might pick up on what's causing the problem...
