When I publish my movie to my computer, there is a problem

I use the edition that comes with Vista, and the video files are .AVI type.
When I publish my movie to the computer, there is a big green bar over the
bottom half of the screen. What is happening?

there is a vista group to ask these questions in future.

The green bar could be due to copyright material being used or the codec for
teh avi file is not being used properly by MM. avi is just a wrapper and can
contain hundreds of file types, most of which don't work well with MM. Use
avicodec to find out what it is, then convert it to dv-avi or wmv for best
results.
