When I click on a link in my email, a dialog box opens.

Everytime I receive an email that has a hyperlink in it and I click on the
hyperlink, a dialog box opens wanting me to save an ".exe" file. The dialog
box is for My Documents.

Why is this happening and what can I do to stop this nuisance.

Two things to try. The first is straight-forward. Browse to the .exe of
your Internet browser (the path for Internet Explorer is C:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer\Iexplore.exe), select it, and click OK. The other
is to open IE (if that's your browser) and click Tools>Internet
Options>Programs>Reset Web Settings.
