When clicking a link to a page IE disappears!!!

When I am on a website, I click on a link to go to
another page and my IE closes. It doesn't happen on
every website. Just certain ones. I have tried
resesting my security settings, and updating IE but
nothing seems to work. Is there anything I can do. I
tried using a new browser...Netscape... and the website
worked...so I know it is IE. I would prefer to use
IE...if I can get it fixed. Any thoughts or ideas? Help
me please!!!
