What's the difference between Edit Copy and Copy Format?

On the Word Keyboard, CTRL+C is assigned to "Edit Copy," while CTRL+SHIFT+C
is assigned to "Copy Format." What is the difference, if any?

In response your questions regarding CTRL+C "Edit Copy," vs.
CTRL+SHIFT+C "Copy Format", "copy format" copies the formatting, while
"edit copy" copies just the text.
