What's the difference between basic disk and dynamic disk

what's the pros and cons of converting basic disk to dynamic disk?
if i convert my basic disk to dynamic disk..and i use a dos bootdisk to boot
to dos.
will i able to access my dynamic disk?

You'll not achieve any performance benefit by converting
to a dynamic disk. Once you convert to a dynamic disk,
you cannot revert back to a basic disk unless you delete
all drive partitions and reinstall Windows XP from scratch.

Dynamic disks are really for server and business networks, where it is
needed to make a number of physical disks behave as if they were a
single one. I would *not* use them , at all, on any stand-alone
machine or home net
