I have microsoft work word processor and when I turned my paper into
my teacher at my online school she said she can't open it because
it's a .wps and not a .doc. What's the differance?
,WPS is a Microsoft Works file. .DOC is a Microsoft Word file. Since Word
is often included with some versions of Works, many people think they have
Word, and others that do have Word, fail to save files in the .DOC format.
I know, it's confusing.
I believe there is a viewer and/or converter to be able to open WPS files in
MS Word. Try a search at Microsoft, or maybe Google.com.
Often, when inviting files to be sent, it's a good idea to specify what
format you prefer them in. If you ask for them in .RTF of .DOC, you might
have much better success. RTF stands for Rich Text Format, and most of the
better word processors, MAC machines included, can create, or Save As an RTF
file. The protocol for RTF was created just for the purpose of reading
files on various editors and word processors, Word included.
If you need and can't find a converter or viewer, post back and I'm sure
someone will be glad to assist.
