What's an easy wayt to determin if a client's pc has the framework 1.1 installed?

I need to tell a client how to look on their pc to see if the framework 1.1
is installed. what should I tell them?

Hello moondaddy,

You could have them check for HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework. The
default key will list the root folder...

Not on my install. Have a look at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\policy and look for the
folder beginning with "v" with the highest version.
