What's a dialog box? How do I close it?

In Outlook, when I try to send a message, I get a window that says:
"Open dialog box. Close dialog box and try again."
I have no idea how to close a dialog box.

What are you doing when you are sending the message?

a dialog box is a message box reminding you to do something or telling you
of problems. See if you can bring it forward using Alt+Tab.

If you minimize all Outlook Windows, do you see a pop-up dialog box open?

in some circumstances they are hidden - I've had it happen a few times but
it's been so long ago that I forget how I did it - knowing what you are
doing might jog my memory or that of others here. Also do you have any
addins installed? If an addin pops up a dialog it can stop everything.

Sometimes, using the show desktop button to minimize everything then click
on outlook's button will show the hidden window. Other times it will show it
for a split second as the desktop redraws, which is not much help. :(

Milly, There was only one Outlook window, which I minimized, and saw no
pop-up box.
