WMP 11 is ok with one of the lighter interfaces, but I'm not too keen on all of the bloat that is there by default (although I can see why others would like it).

9 is so much easier to use I use it on XP As it wont run on Vista 11 built in [yes tried installing 9 no joy], as you say it is so bloated so if I need to do a CD/DVD I use 9.
Oh and 10 is just as bad as 11
Thinking about it, I always use Winamp for Audio playback on all my machines (except for Linux of course).
And for movie playback it's either Media Centre within Vista or Power DVD in XP.
I vary rarely use WMP.
But when I do, 10 is me favourite.
