What was Outlook sending?

Hi,

I downloaded my messages using the option "send and receive all".
However, the "Show Progress" box indicates that I was also 'sending something'.
But I had nothing to send!
I look in the "Sent items' folder and nothing was sent at this time.

What was Outlook 2003 doing?

The usual response here is, "You have a virus". It could
be that a virus program is using your Outlook to send spam
and/or a copy of itself to people in your address book.

I hope this is not the case, but please have the foresight
(aftersight?) to look into this potential problem.

Thanks Bob,

I checked and I have no virus.
I also run a anti-spyware then I download the messages with Outlook and the
ghost sending was still there.
What else could it be?
A bug?

Was it really sending something or did the dialog show a send and receive
status? The status display may appear that something is sent, but it's
really not sending anything. Also - if you read messages with read receipts,
those are stored as hidden messages and outlook would send them on the
next send.

Thanks Bob,

I checked and I have no virus.
I also run a anti-spyware then I download the messages with Outlook and the
ghost sending was still there.
What else could it be?
A bug?
