What the heck is going on here? I asked a question that was important (to
me) and before I had a chance to read the answers, I am told the message is
no longer available on the server.

Am I the only having this problem. Geez!!!!!

It's still there.:

Is is possible to get the Swen virus if you DO NOT open the attachment?
Have there been any cases of the infected message "self-opening"?

Thanks,

Sorry, we are all having this difficulty. Your message was not deleted from
the server for everyone, necessarily. Just for those who clicked on it when
it was in limbo (I'm not making this up). When you see a messages
self-delete, don't click on any message you really want to see. Wait a
while, then try again. The server is "out of synch with its slaves," from
what we have been told.

The server is not one single server, but a 'farm' of several, that ought
to be kept in sync from a master one. So if you post to one, next time
you connect may well be to another, and *if the time is short) the
message may not have got round there as yet.

The last ten days - under attack from a flood of messages with and about
the Swen worm - the sync has been breaking down. Yesterday I found
apparent numbers of messages in all in this group varied from 155000 to
469000 depending on which 'slave' I happened to hit. And you have got
the second time onto a sever that does not have your machine, though
your own system has a record of it

Which is making things near unworkable: resetting the groups seems
about the only thing to do.
