Are you sure the message doesn't mean that there is not
enough room on the CD? In other words the files you are
trying to copy are too big to fit on the CD?

First and foremost - DO NOT SWEAR! (subject)
Second - Make your "Subject" relevant to your problem. Standard courtesy
rules for newsgroup posting ... failure to observe usually means the message
will be ignored. Only reason I am responding is 'cos I'm hoping for help on
my own posting ... unlikely one of the MS MVP's will respond to you (could
be wrong).

NOW TO YOUR PROBLEM - you haven't said, (but are implying) that it's the
hard drive that hasn't enough room - you SURE it's the hard drive, and not
that you are trying to put too much onto the CD ? A CD has a definite limit,
and the CD writing program usually has an info bar ...
If it IS the hard disk that doesn't have enough room, you've really got a
problem - a hard drive above 85% full has virtually no room left to
operate - you need to offload (delete or back up) a load of stuff, run
defrag ...

Free "spyware" ? I use Mailwasher for e_mail, Spybot and Adaware ... do
Google search for download sites. Configured and used sensibly, these are
excellent tools. Am assuming you have already got a firewall and
continuously-updated anti-virus.

For Spyware, try Ad Aware, www.lavasoftusa.com.

As to your other issue, as someone else in this thread mentioned, the not
enough room warning may be referring to the CD and not your hard drive.

Also, if you are trying to save or drag and drop directly to CD, this is
known as
packet writing and XP does not support that function natively. This
requires third party software such as the Direct CD component of Easy CD
Creator, www.roxio.com or the InCD component of Nero, www.nero.com.

Check the web sites for version compatibility with XP as well as compatible
CD-Writers.

don't use internet explorer as the browser hijackers are
coded for it. wild tangent is spyware.

spybot: safer-networking.org ,,,,,,,,ad-aware:
lavasoftusa.com ,,,,,, safe to remove spyware with.free

don't "click on install this to run" when you visit a web
site and you won't get browser hijackers

mozilla.org for browser 'firefox' .
