I keep getting this message when trying to send messages.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Resignation....', Account:
'Home', Server: 'www.att.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

When trying to set up with my yahoo address, I enter in for the incoming and
outgoing server: www.yahoo.com(POP3). I entered in my yahoo user id and
password and it still did not work. What am I doing wrong.

See if this leads you to the instructions you need:

To connect to yahoo.com through Windows Mail, you have to either
pay extra or install YPOPs:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-08.html

If your Yahoo account is one of the free US-based ones, it has webmail
access only, no POP access. Windows Mail can't handle webmail.

Who is your Internet service provider (ISP)?
Your ISP email address will work in Windows Mail.
