what is wrong here???

I have my windows folder in my in C:/ partition of my hardrive. I´m sure its
not nomal for the windows folder to use up 17G of 24G available. Something
must be wrong! Please, any help or assitance is very welcomed!

Something is wrong. You should examine the contents of the c:\windows folder
and be sure that it takes up so much space.

It is possible that if you have Office and other applications installed that
you could creep up to 5Gb on a clean system [no data files present].

I just checked my Windows folder properties and got 2.21 gb

Things I'd start with:
1. Open IE, Tools, Internet Opttions, Delete files including all offline
content, delete cookies.
2. Scan for viruses with latest virus definition dat files.
3. Update windows via MS website.
4. Disk defrag.
5. Check for spyware. (Adaware or Spybot Search & Destroy)
