Im running windows xp-pro and I am getting a message indicating that it is
running windowsnt.exe. Anyone have an idea as to what that is?

Also, does anyone have any idea if Spyboot or Spysweeper is a 16bit program,
these are the only two programs that have been recently installed.

Looks like....

[[Blaster Worm Removal Tool Instructions
There is a critical flaw in Microsoft Windows that exploits a vulnerability
in the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) function. Windows NT4, Windows 2000,
Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 are affected. A patch needs to be applied
to stop instances of the flaw occurring, but does not cure a system which is
already infected.

windowsnt.exe is the fix for all computers running Windows NT.]]

windowsnt is not a normal system component and is likely to be a
parasite.

If you are really referring to a reference to autoeec.nt, copy the
reserve version of that from windows\repair into windows\system32

Then consult

for advice on parasites
