i got given a a pentium 3 peice of hardware yesterday.can anyone tell me what
the f it is?description as best as i can write.it is a pci card incased
within a metal and plastic case it has a small fan on it.it has no type of
sockets on it for anything to be plugged into.there is written on it dc 12v
109x1521h2056 sanyodew.intel pentium3.ANY TAKERS ON WHAT THIS ITEM IS.only

See if there are any other numbers written on it and search google. Are
there any pins on the card? Take a picture and post it to various forums.
Its next to imposable to identify without seeing it. I can't think of any
cards that don't have some type of connection on them.

I may be reading this wrong but, if it has Pentium III written on it
then it sounds very much like a Pentium 3 slot 1 CPU

problem solved it is a pci slot cooling fan,i just learning about pcs.

If it is a P3 slot 1 CPU, and not a PCI cooling device, then it's
simply a P3 processor that pops into a slot instead of a socket. A few
years back it was common place to find an Intel CPU using slots instead
of sockets.

It maybe, and most likely is a Slot 1 PIII cpu, and no, it can't just be
taken out and fitted to another computer..
