I have a 2005 WindowsXP media center, AMD Athlon 64, 3500+, Ok my case fan
has a loud squeeling noise when first started, but after about 2 minutes it
is ok, I have another case fan to replace it, same hook ups and size, the
only thing I see that is different is, The case fan that I am replacing it
with reads, DC 12V---0.20A and the bad one reads DC 12V---0.25A, will it be
ok to use the 0.20A even after the fan that came with it is 0.25A? Please any
help at all on this? I am new to this, Thanks

Yes you can use the new fan with the lower reading.

You should also check the rated air flow rate (and direction!)
of the old and new fan. Since it has a lower amp rating it MAY
have a low flow rate. Or, it just maybe more efficient.

The flow direction will be indicated by an arrow on one or
more sides of the fan.

This has nothing to do with XP. Ask elsewhere.
