What is this file?

Hi,

I'm running WinXPHome, SP2. In a defrag report, the following file shows
as 79MB, and has 502 fragments. What is this file? It has a date of
today, approximately 20 hours ago.

C:\System Volume Information\catalog.wci\0001000A.ci

(Defrag analysis said I didn't need to defrag.)

Hi Bruce,

The System Volume Information folder contains all restore points used
by System Restore. There's no need to defrag these files. Making
changes to any files within the System Volume Information folder will
cause them to become corrupt and System Restore to fail.
