What is the use of FILLED GRID button in MS EXcell.

In MS Excell, Go to tools >> customise >>commands. At last you will see a
button FILLED GRID.
I tried using it but seems to be not working. Can anybody tell me what is
this button for ???
 
It is for Toggling on "Draw Border Grid" instead of just "Draw Border"
around the area you will select with the cursor.
