What is the optimum page file usage and what are these numbers?

Hi,

I have XP Pro and noticed the page file usage in Task Manager.

Mine at the moment is 346MB


Do these figures appear normal?

Yes, but it's poor advice. The Page file acts as a substitute for RAM when
there isn't enough. So the more RAM you have, the *less* swap file you need.

Normally a starting number of 200MB or so is sufficient, but allowing it to
grow as necessary is wise.
