What is the best way to copy a backup file(s) larger than one CD to a CD using S

I am using SONY extreme which gives an error message if
the file to be copied is larger then the CD being copied
to. Ideally I would like to be able to make future
incremental backups.

Thanks in advance,

Windows XP Backup does not have the capability to span multiple CDs
(record from one to another) during a backup operation. When using
Windows XP Backup, the total size of the backup file must not exceed
the formatted capacity of the CD (approximately 533MB). If you need to
backup an entire drive or a system volume exceeding 533 MB, you need
to use a third party backup and restore program designed to span the file
over multiple CDs.

You'll need a third-party CD Recording program, such as Nero,
in order to record and span a large backup file to multiple CDs.

Look for a backup program that is capable of splitting a backup file to
more than one CD. This may be a better long term solution if your backups
tend to run larger than what will fit on a single CD.

Or try a file splitter that will chop the large file into pieces that can
be copied to multiple CDs (use the same file splitter software to reconnect
the pieces later).

Funny no one has mentioned the best solution to his problem which is
purchase an external Hard Drive. Some manufacturers (including Maxtor)
furnish them with backup software included. Will cost money but will solve
the limited capacity of other solutions.
