What is PF usage under task manager?

When applications are running, and try to monitor the resource.
Does anyone have any suggestions on wht PF usage is about?

By PF I presume you mean pagefile....but I don't know what you want to know
about it.

Task Manager is pretty limited. Try Sysinternals Process Monitor
(downloadable from MS, free) for a lot more info about what's running on
your machine.

Pardon my jumping in here...

PF = pagefile = virtual memory.
 
Hi Dave,

I believe I've heard that before too, but in the strictest sense, virtual
memory is only the PF. RAM is physical memory--nothing virtual about it.
Some applications or monitors *may* regard VM that way though.

I got a feeling I've just started something. ;-)
