i was asked to look at a computer today as it was stating virtual memory too
low approx. 5 mins after switching computer on. I opened Task Manager to see
what was using ram (processes) but nothing was amiss. When i clicked on
performance i noticed that the PF usage was rising at an alarming rate
continuing until you get the warning about virtual memory. The system has
512 mb of ram installed so this is not an issue I think. Would the memory be
corrupt ? or is there a process not shown in task manager doing this. I have
checked the computer regulary for spyware/malware and viruses. Any help would
be appreciated as i have never come across this before. I do emphasise that
the PF usage rose from 226mb to 1.8 gb in approx 5mins. Thanks.
