What is "Page File Usage"? When you open your task bar
and look at performance what is PF Usage? Is it simply
RAM usage? What else is it telling you. I've never
gotten a straight answer.

Thanx, Kevin Simms

I got a gig of Corsair TwinX 3200LL-PT memory... why does XP still insist on
using 227 MB of PF memory?

It will be using some *potential* space there for potential use by
memory space that programs have asked to be allocated, but never used
(so there is no point in tying up RAM for them). Nothing will actually
be written to the file, and if the pages do come into use, they will be
created in actual RAM space See www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm
