What is my HOST file supposed to contain?

IE shows "127.0.0.1 LocalHost" down in left corner of
screen? IE Will not connect to sites,while AOL is running,
but WILL connect to sites wheen say, Cavalier internet is
connected. Please help.......
 
Look for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

If that clears you problem then you know the file has been hacked.

This is the one I use.

The best way is to block the server from tracking you in the first place
Blocking Ads with a Hosts File and AdShield. Under the Security Tab download
the hosts.zip file.
