What is max capacity for # contacts stored Outlook 2003?

Is there a limit to how many contacts can be stored in Outlook 2003 without
it becoming a problem??
 
If you're using an 'old' format PST (OL97-OL2002 compatible) you're limited
to either 16,384 or 65,536 items in a folder. Under the new PST format I
think the limit is still 65,536 items in a folder. On an Exchange Server I
don't think there's a limit.

Of course, with a PST you're still limited by the size of the PST file
itself (2GB for old format, over 20GB for the new format)
