Hi,
I have to delete some fonts, I tried to do it deleting them from
c:\windows\fonts, and also deleting all keys about these fonts in registry.
The problem is that, there is an application wich continues to use them: this
application showes me errors about initialization of fonts. Thanks.

Hi Kanguorotto

You can keep the fonts on your computer for the program that needs them,
but not have them loaded the rest of the time. Only fonts that are in
the Windows\Fonts folder will be loaded and available to applications;
ones you don't need right now can be stored in another folder just like
any other files.

For example, I have several hundred fonts on my computer in a folder
called Fonts_unused which appears right next to Windows\Fonts in the
Explorer tree. Only my favourites and the basic Windows fonts are loaded
all the time.

When I need a particular font that isn't in my basic set, I just open
two windows and drag it from Windows\Fonts_unused into Windows\Fonts.
When you're finished and want to uninstall, just drag it back the same
way.

As Don said, some people like to use a font manager program to automate
this.

Hope this helps.
