I use a Dell Inspiron and am trying to send a spreadsheet via email to a mac
user and Iphone. What format do I need to send it in?
 
Does the iPhone open Excel spreadsheets? The "Dell" is immaterial.
Perhaps you should ask the recipient what type of files they can open,
and "export" or "save as" based on that?
 
I phone does not have a spreadsheet application, so they won't be able to
edit it, the best format for looking at it would be pdf, but you need a 3rd
party software to make a pdf.
