"Setup found a compressed volume or a disk cache utility on your computer.
Quit setup and remove the disk cache utility. Then run setup again."

Trying to install new OS. What is this about?

Windows XP does not recognize DriveSpace, a component of Windows 98 that
compresses files to add hard drive space. If you're using DriveSpace, or a
similar disk compression utility, uncompress the drive before trying Upgrade
to Windows XP. If you have third party utilities installed, that compress,
uncompress using them, and then uninstall those utilities. Also, before
trying to upgrade, use the Compatibility Advisor on the Windows XP Upgrade
CD to see what isn't compatible, so you won't be in for other surprises.
