what does "relaying prohibited. you should authenticate first" me.

I sent a message to a group of contacts and some of them were returned with
this message form the SA. I do not know what this means. Has anyone had this
message and is there anything I can do about it besides just trying to resend
the message.
 
You need to set your account to authenticate to your outgoing server. To do
so, go to the "Outgoing server" tab on your account dialog.
