Same as Georgio with DVD + works fine. BTW I don't understand the sentence
"lost that CD" and where it fits in in the context of burning a Vista
DVD--and to attack the nero "crash" someone would need to know what
version--most DVD burners are including 6.0--and I find using the original
Nero works better than the CD included with most writers. Check the site
and make sure you have all patches.

OK I used Nero and it did work fine, Sort of. It keeps saying at the start of
the burn the file is to big to make a bootable disc with. So I just burn it
as a not bootable and it won’t open when I re boot and then when I click on
it it wants to use Nero to open it. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think you should even have the option to burn as a non-bootable dvd.
You are using the wrong burn function. You should be simply transfering the
image to the disc. The image is already bootable. It just needs to be put
on physical media. Use the "burn image to disc" function. Don't use
anything to build a dvd.

Justin,

I use nero 7 with no problems.Ultra iso is also a great program to use.I did
have a problem with the first vista download as the boot file and autorun
file were currupt.Had to download again.
Do as Colin suggests.Close the wizard window and check "burn image to disc"
on the remaining window.

well as i said... i got a new burner... burned a vista CD in xp.. worked
great.. installed vista.. didnt go so well.. running in to some weird
issues, want to install it again but i lost the dvd i burned the first
time.. so now im in vista, with just the ISO file and no vista CD to
reinstall with... so.. i need to burn another vista CD inorder to
reinstall....

and i have no idea what version it is.. the CD says OEM Suite and no version
number.. and since it crashes before i can even get in to it i cant really
check the version number..

so the actually question was what do you use IN VISTA to burn the CD... your
telling me you used XP which im well aware works fine..

Thanks for the suggestion, i'll try downloading the newest copy and give
that a try.
