What Created this KB Update and contents - Looks like a windows update ??

The Z drive is a big fast drive that has a tmp folder and swap on it.
I just notices this weird folder name and the contents look like a KB
update (w2k system).

Why is MS putting this here ? I'll guess that they were trying to put
it in TMP and missed. At least they put it on the right drive.

Hi

Windows updates creates a temporary folder with a "random" name on the
root of the fixed disk with most free space. There is no way to change
this behavior as far as I know.

It will be the working files unpacked from a Windows Update, and should
have been deleted when the Install phase completed - perhaps it failed.
Update tends to look for the drive with most available space and makes
its working folder directly in the root of that. You can delete the
folder
