Trouble with ODBC functionality

A

Annette

How do I repair the damage to my ODBC functionality that
I think occurred because I uninstalled Earthlink's
TotalAccess 2004 software yesterday? Afterward, the first
time I tried to launch my favorite Image
viewing/management software, ThumbsPlus (v4), I got the
following message:

[51015/8036] Database error: SQL Connect Error: [0-IM002]
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data Source Name not
found and no default driver spcified.

After clicking OK, I got the following error message:
[7236] ThumbsPlus could ot open or connect to the
database: C:\program files\ThumbsPlus4\Thumbs.td4. What
do you want to do? Create new database? Open an existing
database? Connect to an ODBC data source?
Exit ThumbsPlus Help

My "Thumbs.td4" file would not open when I chose "open an
existing database" and navigated to the ThumbsPlus
directory. I couldn't create a new database either.

I have Windows XP SP 1 on my Sony Vaio PC. I've installed
the latest Windows updates, including Microsoft Jet 4.0
Service Pack 7 (SP7)-Windows XP. I've also installed all
the Office XP updates. I am not a programmer or real
techie person, so I don't know what to do next. I did
manage to find the CheckODBC.exe program in the
ThumbsPlus directory by doing a search on my hard drive
for *ODBC*.* to see if anything looked useful. I ran it
and got the results shown below. It appears that some
needed DLLs are now missing. What do I do to fix this
problem?

I uninstalled ThumbsPlus and then reinstalled, including
the 3.5 ODBC drivers it will install if you check that
option. It solved my problem. Thanks, Dave.
