"What causes a black screen when paying an aci file in ppt?"

When I import an avi.fil (44MB) into PowerPoint 2003, I see the first
picture, then the screen goes black.
 
Make certain you have an up todate video driver for your card and the
latetest version of DirectX for your OS.
