what are the differences between the profession xpe tools and the
downloaded tools?
I am using the downloaded tools at home to try out things I do at work
and
I have been having problems getting the downloaded version to produce
an image
that has WMI (see previous posts)

"downloaded" tools - depedns on wher eyou download these from.

If you are ereferring to publicly available XPe toolkit - it is Eval (trial) version. An image produced by these toolkit will
timebomb as well as the toolkit itself after certain time (120 days for the toolkit, 90 days for the image).
