wgatray.exe

My company uses a Network Access Control (NAC) appliance to restrict network
access until the user and the health of the device have been validated.

My problem is that when I boot up my machine and before I am authenticated
with the NAC appliance, the wgatray.exe process tries to phone-home to
microsoft to tell it that I am using a legitimate version of Windows.

Since the NAC appliance is restricting network access, the phone-home fails,
so wgatray.exe opens up another port and tries again and again and again
until I have thousands of sessions open on my machine, all of which are being
blocked by the NAC appliance, waiting for me to authenticate with it.

The NAC appliance restricts me to 1000 open sessions through it a(which is
probbaly reasonable for most users) and so I am then unable to login to the
NAC appliance to authenticate, because wgatray.exe is using up all my
sessions.

Does anyone, know if there is a way to slow down wgatray.exe? I have no
problem with it phoning home but would love if there was a retry interval or
maximum number of sessions that could be configured on it.

Any ideas anyone???

Go to Safemode
Go to c:\windows\system32
Delete wgatray.exe
Create a text file call wgatray.exe -- Set to read only.
Reboot
Wgatray.exe won't show up anymore as a process.
