Since I have upgraded PP to version 2002/2003, I have not been able to save
my slides as B/W wmfs.

Even though I view them in grayscale prior to saving the as WMF's, the WMF's
still come up in color.

HELP!

If my memory serves me well.... this is something microsoft fixed/removed
depending upon which way you look at it, in newer versions of powerpoint!

So what you're saying is that you can no longer save them as B/W WMFs. So
how does one save a slide as a b/w? I need them in color for preentation
purposes and b/w for importing to training materials.

So what you're saying is that you can no longer save them as B/W WMFs.

Afraid so.

You can save as a bitmap format like PNG and then use a program like IrfanView
(www.irfanview.com, free to very inexpensive) to batch convert the images to
b/w. Drawbacks: they're bitmaps, not WMFs, and it's a different sort of
conversion than you get normally with PPT.

If you use colors off the color scheme, applying a b/w color scheme might get
you there.

What Steve said.

You can apply a B/W color scheme before exporting. Best solution, though, is
to keep a copy of PPT 2000 around just for creating your WMFs. That's what I
do.

Oh, if you have the latest version of Acrobat around, you might experiment
with printing to PDF (choose Pure Black and White when in File/Print) and
see if that doesn't get you useable images.

You can also try Shyam's Handout Wizard.
