Question for you. Where I work, the staff attorneys use a program called
Citelink with word memos to automatically cite and link to specific cases.
Right now, we are in a mixed environment (Win2K & Win XP), however were
getting ready to upgrade to a Vista environment with Office 2007. How can I
configure Word to use this 3rd pary application, or is that not possible in
this version of Office?

Thanks a lot,

I have emailed Westlaw already, however the old instructions had you go into
Tools-->WestCiteLink->Options to make any necessary changes. They have not
responded yet, however my question is if they have the SW, how do I go about
configuring using 2007? Maybe as an add-in??

Thanks a lot,

It would be used as an add-in, just as it's used as an add-in now. The
biggest question is if the add-in works with Word 2007 and they would know
for sure. If the add-in will work with Word 2007 then configuration wouldn't
been too different than previous versions. If it's a global template then
it's placed in a Startup folder. (Word Startup or Office\Startup) or if it's
a COM Add-in then their installer should take care of configuring it for
you.

Thanks so much Beth. I tried adding a new com Add-in, but it did not show
up. I will see if their tech support will follow up with me. I do not
believe that they will support 07, but if it does I will follow up with any
possible questions.

Hopefully their support will follow up with you. We've found some add-ins
will work in Word 2007 and others won't so it's really hard to tell. Sorry I
couldn't be of more help.
