Weird Problem with 9500 Pro and DVI-to-component

I've had a weird problem with my Radeon 9500 Pro and using the ATI
DVI-Component connector. When I have the connector attached my computer will
randomly freeze, and then Win (XP SP1) will say that a device error
occurred, and my display will be set to 640x480 with only 4 bits of color.
It doesn't happen when the connector isn't attached, only when it is
attached. This really sucks because I had to spend 50 dollars to get it.

Oh yes, if anyone from ATI is reading this, this is the first and last
product that I will buy that it made by ATI. I've never had this many
problems, or trouble getting even basic support from any product. I was
sorely disappointed. I used to be a Nvidia Fan only, but I thought I should
give ATI a chance since I had heard so many good things about them. Well I
was wrong. ATI you really need to reevaluate your priorities. Just my .02

I have this same card and am also using the DVI connection with Windows XP
SP1. No complaints at all. Which Catalyst drivers are you using? What
motherboard to do you have and did you make sure that you had the latest
AGP drivers installed first? From your description it sounds like a driver
issue.
