Hello I got a dvi component adapter and it does not work right. I have
a sony tv, that can do 480i. It is one of those 4 yr old 32 inch tvs.
I move the jumpers 480i and 480p to the on position. Then i went in to
the ati control panel and switch the display to the component out the
only thing i see is lines going around. i tried changing the resolution
to 480x600 720x480 and 800x600. I also try changing the refresh rate
but no luck. This is a connect 3d radeon 9550, game play is great but
i am not sure if it will work with component connectors.

Do you have the manual, available here:
http://www2.ati.com/manuals/CmpVidAd.pdf

Pay attention to Page 7. Go into Display Properties -> Settings ->
Advanced -> Displays tab. You need to set the YPbPr display to 640x480 @
either 30 Hz or 60 Hz.

The HDTV adapter only works on "North American TVs", by the way. Not sure
where you are located.

thanks for the help, seems like the component adapter is preatty
intelligent, i turned the 480p jumper off and now it works, the screen
does not fit perfectly, i thinkt there is some software out there for
this but it is not free.
