Weird printing problem

Hi:

I have this problem when printing reports. I have developed an
application in access 2003, which has some reports. The application is
started with the /runtime cmd line parameter from a shortcut.

When I run it on my computer it works fine, but when my client uses it he
can't seem to print.

All the reports have a particular toolbar, which of course, has the print
icon, and when he presses this button the access pops up the printing dialog,
but the printer won't print anything.

The strange thing is, the printer prints fine with other applications, and
even with the Access, but using different databases. Any ideas??

Mauro, try redesigning that command line parameter while at the client's
location. Access databases do get tied into a specific printer that the
computer is attached to at the time. I've run into this before too, and have
solved it by designing the features onsite.

Ok, I'll try that, now, could you be a little more specific? What do you mean
by "redisigning" the command line? You mean writing it all over again?

Thanks!

Yes, just remove and recreate the buttons or command line on their end.
Anything you do related to printing will then be modified according to their
particular printer. Let me know how it works.

Ok, so, just to make it clear, you mean removing and re-creating the shortcut
or the toolbar inside the app?

Thanks.

Mauro, you may have to recreate anything that affects the printer....start
with the command button, and if you have to make a copy of the report and
underlying query or anything else....all this is speculation, so try it
first. Also, you will get ahold of me faster if you email me direct, with a
copy of our conversation in the email. Keep me posted.
