Weird Pivot Table / Analysis Services Issue

Pete K.

Hi-
I have 8 users that access the same Analysis Services cube using MS
Excel 2002/XP Pivot Tables - all but 1 of these users have no problem
seeing/accessing all of the dimensions & measures in the cube. That
one other user doesn't see all of the calculated measures in her Pivot
Table Field List - also, Excel crashes when she tries to move the data
dimension from the row area of the Pivot Table to the column area.

I tried to uninstall/re-install Excel and the problem has not gone
away. Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem?

Thanks!
Pete

PS. I also posted this message on the sqlserver.olap
newsgroup...sorry for the duplicate.

Is the Analysis Services cube connected to an external
data source? If yes, there is a small chance that a
different driver (or no driver)is installed on the
computer that crashes (although you normally would get an
error message)

Check Settings, Administative Tools, ODBC Data Source.

Thanks for your response...yes, the Pivot Table is connected to an
Analysis Services cube, which is an external data source. I checked
into the ODBC drivers in Admin Tools and didn't see any reference to
an OLAP data source - should I be seeing an OLAP driver listed? Any
other ideas?

Pete
