Hi

I have an XP PRo machine connected to a workgroup and now and then when I
login on the XP machine I get a message in the taskbar with a green icon
telling me that Windows needs my current references and I should logout and
log back in! I have swedish OS so my translation of the above message may not
be correct on the english OS! Can someone explain why I get this message and
what to do about it?!!

Thanks

That can happen on Windows XP where the network
components can't get up and running before you log on.
The following should normally prevent that problem:

Click Start, Run and type gpedit.msc
Under "computer configuration" expand "administrative
templates">"system">"logon".
Select "Always wait for the network at computer startup".
The default is "not configured". Set this to "On"

I don't know what that would be in Swedish.
