Weird happenings

Hi,
Any help would be greatly apreciated.
My home PC has been acting strangely lately ,for example when Im using Word
to type or view documents the scroll bar goes mad and
scrolls the page up and down automatically.When using Power DVD the film
speed increases or rewinds itself.
I dont have an internet connection.

Can anyone help me on this, its driving me nuts.

Have you tried running anti-virus and anti-spyware scans with updated
definitions?

Thanks for the reply.
I dont have an internet connection so I dont see how it could be a virus.
Whenever I insert floppys/cd conatining internet downloads I always
use Norton AntiVirus to check it.

Does the strange behavior happen on a regular basic ? I have had the crazy
auto scrollbar a few times but if these thing do not happen on a regular
basic it is almost impossible to troubleshoot. JJ

i have seen that happen and it ended up being a mouse problem that
caused it.
try updating the mouse drivers off the internet if you can get on.

Yes it happens all the time
I`ll try using a different mouse/keyboard and see what happens.
