Karen

I have two files running in MSconfig and I was wondering
if anyone knew what they were. I have tried to find info
on net with no success.

c:\windows\system32\wszw.exe
Registry key HKLM\software\microsoft\currentversion\run

c:\windows\system32\tmzyxs.exe
Registry key software\microsoft\currentversion\run

I just got rid of the BELT.EXE trojan(argghh! big pain)
I turned of the first file and then the second one popped
up.
Lost my e-mail, so I turned the first one back on. (my
e-mail did not come back).

Hi,

They're trojans most likely. Restart in Safe mode, delete the registry
entries and the files they refer to, then restart normally. Get your AV
software up-to-date and run a full system scan.

I can't find either file on my system, or any mention in any of the news
groups, or on the web. Go to the C:\Windows\System32 folder and right click
each file, then left click Properties. When the Properties box for the file
opens, click the Version tab, then click the items under the heading: Item
Name. You should be able to get an idea by the Company, Product Name etc.,
if it's a legitimate file, and where it came from.

Thanks for all your help. I think I finally got rid of
it.
Both file were a "wowex32" original name.
