weird e-mail reply problem

We have a user who is having an issue with messages from
one particular person outside our organization.

When she replies to a message from this person, or tries to
forward the message, a system message appears in her inbox
saying the message is undeliverable: "The following
recipient(s) could not be reached... No transport provider
was available for delivery to this recipient." Sometimes
it causes Outlook 97 to lock up. On three occasions her
mail server settings had to be reentered in Outlook.

This only happens with messages from the one particular
sender. I have checked the message headers and found
nothing out of the ordinary. We are using POP3 accounts.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Check her Personal Address Book or Contacts for
a bad email address for this recipient. She may need
to refresh her information.

I watched her successfully send an e-mail to the other
person, by selecting the name from her address book. She
can send a new e-mail to this person without a problem. It
is replying to a message she received from this person, and
only this one person, that is the problem.
