websites, please help

hi, i keep getting a website appearing called xxxtolbar.com and others
such as 123search.com and slotch.com, is there any way of stopping
these websites appearing??

Slotch is a hijacker. Your system is infected with
spyware/garbageware.

Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org
Ad-aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
It is recommended every computer have both programs (or
alternatives) on top of your UPDATED Anti-Virus Program
Make sure they are always UPDATED and run them regularly,
especially after you have downloaded a program or your
computer/browser begins acting different/strange.

Windows Updates - Update Windows regularly (at the very
least once a month) - ALWAYS download Critical Updates.
You can set your computer for automatic updates if you
prefer.

You might want to start with downloading Hijack This and
posting your log at a Forum. You must join, it only takes

thanks for the follow up, however i already had both of those
installed and i have checked, but hey are both up to date and still
the websites are appearing,. any other ideas would be gladly accepted
