I have IE 6.0 w/ Service Pack 1 on windows xp. Everytime
I try to log on to any website that I shop on such as
expedia, cheaptickets, lanebryant... the web redirects me
to a Shop at Home website. It looks like an ad and I do
not know what to do to not have this screen pop up all
the time. I have deleted all cookies. I even uninstalled
IE 6 and reinstalled it but no luck. Please help I am
very frustrated. Thanks.!!!

Couple of notes on this issue.

1. Did you recently install iMesh or some other P2P
software?
2. Did you recently install a shareware or freeware
program?

I found the SaHagent on my startup list after I had
installed iMesh. You will need to take the agent out of
startup. I dont know if XP has msconfig, or not. But if
it does, or its equivilant, then uncheck the box. Click
apply, then OK. The computer will need to reboot.

Now search your computer for a file called sahagent.
delete it. That should allow you to reconfigure your home
page back to what you want, and ensure the bugger doesnt
find a way to turn itself back on.

Next go to tools-->internet options-->General and enter
the website of your choice as your homepage. Click apply,
OK and then close the internet options box.

Voila. You should be able to hit the home button on your
browser and get to the site you have chosen.

It's a commercial parasite:

Both Ad-aware 6 and Spybot S&D will remove it for you. See:
